Terry Sandvold is the CEO and founder of Sandvold Financial Group. With 30+ years of experience,Terry has had a vision to help both individuals and businesses with insightful planning and professional implementation of needs, proper product analysis and placement to help them achieve higher financial success. Terry is the host of "Money Talks" radio shows, airing on numerous stations weekly to help people take control of their financial futures. He enjoys bringing important information to thousands, which in turn can make a positive difference in their lives. Currently, "Money Talks" airs live every Saturday at 11:00am on News Talk (AM 1130), 12 Noon on the Wall Street Business Network (AM 1440) and Sundays at 9:00am on The Patriot (AM 1280). Over the years, Terry has received many awards nationwide for his financial services leadership including Questar representative of the year nationwide from 2012-2016. He has presented to many financial services organizations nationally and locally. Besides being a national leader in the financial services industry, Terry and his family are very involved in charity. He has co-sponsored events for Children’s HeartLink, and is actively involved in the Alzheimer’s Association. Terry is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota chapter. He was also the Team Recruitment Co-Chair for the Walk to End Alzheimer's in 2015 and 2016 and Terry was the chair for the 25th Anniversary Purple Gala in 2017 and will be again this year.
Blake Sandvold, CIO, Financial Planner
Blake Sandvold is the Chief Investment Officer as well as a financial planner at Sandvold Financial Group. As CIO Blake researches and analyzes the market and creates investment strategies that best suit these projections. He also provides continued investment education for planners and staff at Sandvold Financial Group. He uses his knowledge in investments to provide his clients with individualized plans that fit their financial needs. Key areas of focus include wealth accumulation and wealth preservation strategies.
Blake joined SFG after receiving his degree in Financial Management from the University of St. Thomas. He holds his 7,63, and 66 securities licenses, as well as Minnesota Life, Accident and Health, and property and casualty insurance licenses.
Blake is an active member of his community, through his memberships in the Wayzata Chamber of Commerce and Twin West Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys sponsoring events like Wayzata’s Music By the Lake Summer Series, which hosts many different forms of entertainment for families in the Wayzata community. You might also hear Blake as a frequent guest on Terry Sandvold’s “Money Talks” Radio show where he shares current market updates with listeners.
In his free time, Blake, his wife, and their two dogs enjoy spending time outside at the lake, checking out new restaurants around the twin cities, and attending sporting events.
Jed Lund, CPA, Financial Planner
Jed has more than 25 years of wide ranging experience in U.S. and international business operations, including entrepreneurial ventures in the retail and hospitality industry. Prior to joining Sandvold Financial Group, Jed was a Certified Public Accountant and Director of Tax for Cray Research Inc. and Allina Health System. He was also involved in Tax, Insurance and Benefit areas. Jed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business, and has served as President of the Minnesota Tax Executive Institute, Chairman of the Tax Committee of the American Electronics Association, Executive Committee member of the Minnesota Accounting Aid Society and Board Member for the Minnesota Twins Gemini Club. Primary areas of focus for Jed are retirement and estate conservation strategies, small and large business entity structuring, executive compensation and employee benefit planning. Robert Cowin, CFP, Financial Planner
For the last ten years, Bob has helped individuals plan their financial goals. He has earned his CFP® designation and focuses on wealth accumulation and distribution planning for retirement, Life insurance, Long Term care Insurance, and estate preservation. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served as an Officer in the US Marine Corp, before growing a small business into a nationwide company. He capitalizes on that experience by helping business clients with their investments and insurance needs. Bob holds his Series 6,7, and 63 Securities licenses, along with Minnesota Life, Accident and Health, and Long Term Care licenses.
Matthew Fiske, Financial Planner
Matt has over 20 years of experience in various fields of the financial services industry. He has conducted hundreds of education seminars to thousands of insurance agents and financial planners nationwide to ensure they are providing suitable products and services to their clients. Matt uses a client focused approach when creating financial plans, with his primary areas of focus on Retirement and Income Planning, Wealth Management, and Estate Preservation. He holds Series 6, 63, and 65 securities licenses, along with his Minnesota Life, Health and Accident insurance licenses. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, as well as History and Political Science from Jamestown College (University). Matt and his family are active in the City of Ramsey Foundation and Community Education in Anoka county.
Todd Moritz, CPA, Financial Planner
Todd joined Sandvold Financial Group in 2017 and uses a client focused approach when creating financial plans, with his primary areas of focus on wealth management and tax efficient investing, accumulation and distribution planning for retirement, and college expense and student loan planning. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, along with his Minnesota Life, Health and Accident insurance licenses. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drake University and a Minnesota Certified Public Accountant license. Todd and his wife, Hilary, are active in the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce and are passionate about exploring the craft beer scene in Minnesota and beyond, even growing a variety of hops at their Minnetonka home. They are also Minnesota Wild season ticket holders, despite Todd’s complete lack of coordination on skates (ask him about it), and attempt to keep up with their eight energetic nieces and nephews. Prior to joining Sandvold Financial Group, Todd worked as a CPA, involved primarily in Tax, Investment, and Audit areas and continues to self-identify as “weird” for thinking taxes are actually interesting.
